Devotion to the prayer Jesus taught his disciples is as old as the church itself. However, there are few societies or movements today to promote the daily recitation of the Pater Noster (Latin for "Our Father"). This blog invites and equips all followers of Christ to engage in his prayer at least once each day.
From the First Century Church
Pray as the Lord commanded in his Gospel.
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those
who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever. Amen.
